A Community Group for Architects
The Chicago Architects Group is founded by community architects for architects
to meet, share ideas, and create a Chicago area community.
Our mission is to foster the disipline of technical architecture in Chicago through
community events that share our knowledge and give a forum to interact.
Through regular meetings with presentations and conversations, the Chicago Architect Group
promotes all forms of architects and architecture. The group is non-aligned in its discussions
and seeks equal and competing visions of how to assemble the components for business to operate.
Further Details
The group was organized in early 2008 and had it's first meeting in June, 2008. We currently have
a small but engaged group of attendees that bring their knowledge to bear to challenge and be
challenged by the group.
Attempting to meet regularing on the fourth Thursday of the month, we split our time between
downtown Chicago and the suburbs. Our group comes from a variety of backgrounds ranging from
enterprise architects to those developers and engineers seeking to learn more about architecture.
We provide an open environment, speakers open to discussion, and some refreshments to fuel the
conversation.
As we grow, we're hoping to incorporate more social oriented gatherings as well as our speaker
driven events. If you're interested in learning more, contact us form details on how to attend,
speak, or how to contribute to the operation of the group.
